Fairouz Ai takes a career break after diagnosed with PTSD

3 Jan - Japanese voice actress Fairouz Ai recently announced that she is taking a break from work after being diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Sharing the news on social media on 31 December, the statement read, "I have worked hard over the past few months to live up to the expectations and support I have received, but I have decided that the best thing for me to do now is to focus on my treatment and recover both physically and mentally as quickly as possible."

"As I have also received support from my agency and those around me, I have decided to limit some of my activities for a while. Since the cause of the disease is a private matter, please refrain from prying or speculating," she added.

Stressing that she feels sorry for "causing concern and inconvenience to her favourite work and characters, the wonderful production staff who created them, and the fans who have always been supportive", Fairouz added, "I will work hard to recover both physically and mentally so that I can stand before you all again in good health. I hope you will continue to love the characters and the work."
