Dilraba Dilmurat to star in another costume drama
15 Dec – Despite the lacklustre response to her last two dramas, it was reported that Dilraba Dilmurat has been cast in the upcoming series, "King of the Phoenix".
According to Upmedia, the actress reportedly will be collaborating with Zhang Linghe in the costume drama, which is based on a comic book series.
Production will reportedly start at the end of January next year.
Other actors who will reportedly star in the drama include Ruan Ding, Tian Jiarui, and Miles Wei.
It is noted that Dilraba previously starred in the modern drama, "Prosecution Elite", as well as the costume drama, "The Legend of Anle". However, both dramas have not done well in the ratings.
The actress' popularity, however, was saved by her participation in the variety show, "Divas Hit the Road".
