Dee Hsu takes six-month break from "Dee Girls Talk" following sister Barbie's tragic passing

10 Feb - Dee Hsu (aka Xiao S) has decided to take a six-month hiatus from her show "Dee Girls Talk," with Sandy Wu stepping in as interim host. The show will continue its regular broadcast schedule.

The announcement came through the show's social media channels, "The programme expressed its gratitude to all the loyal viewers of 'Dee Girls Talk'. Your support and watching are the biggest motivation for us to continue to work hard. Recently, our host Xiao S took the initiative to inform the programme that she needs to take a leave of absence for half a year due to the tragedy at home. EBC fully supports this decision."

The production team explained that after discussions, Xiao S encouraged the show to continue broadcasting to maintain its spirit of bringing joy to viewers.

They stated, "Thank you, Sandy Wu, for agreeing to work with us on the show during Xiao S's break at the request of producer B2, continuing the spirit of the show. Thank you, Xiao S, for still caring about the show while handling private matters. We sincerely hope that she can make a full comeback after the break and see our beloved Xiao S again. We are all waiting for you to come back!"

While Sandy's temporary role has been confirmed, the production team has not specified if she will host for the entire six-month period.

Meanwhile, Dee's co-host Patrick Liu left a comment in the announcement, writing, "I'll do my best and wait for my sister to come back."
