Chris Wu admits dating as an actor is a challenge
16 Apr – Chris Wu (Wu Kang-jen) admitted that it is hard for an actor to be in a relationship because of the nature of the career.
The actor, who sat down for an interview with Mingpao recently, explained that although he is not afraid of meeting new people, he is always concerned that they would misunderstand him.
"People know me from TV and movies. They see how I act when I am in front of the camera. But sometimes the things you see on camera is not the real me. My true personality is different than what you would imagine," he said.
Asked how different he is from his many TV and movie characters, Wu said that he is a boring man and not much of a talker in real life.
"People are not perfect," he added.
Wu's last known relationship was with "White Ant" co-star Aviis Zhong, which lasted two years. He was also romantically linked to his "The Perfect Match" co-star Ivy Shao last year, but denied that the two of them ever dated.
