Chinese KOL Zhang Dayi announces pregnancy
16 Aug – Chinese internet celebrity Zhang Dayi (also known as Eve Zhang) recently announced that she is pregnant with her first child.
As reported on Oriental Daily, the 35-year-old entrepreneur shared the good news on 13 August, telling followers on Weibo that she is now four months pregnant.
The news came three weeks after she surprised many by revealing that she has registered her marriage with her boyfriend.
In the same announcement, Zhang revealed that she gets out of breath easily when standing and talking since her pregnancy is revealed, and that she gets anxious easily. She admitted to worry about not being a good mother, but is looking forward to the arrival of the baby.
While many relayed their well-wishes to Zhang, some still expressed anger with her for her past scandal, in which she was alleged to be having an affair with the married businessman Jiang Fan, then president of Taobao and Tmall.
Jiang was later removed from Alibaba's list of partners and was demoted, following investigation into the said affair.
