China to hold charity concert in the vein of Lady Gaga's global show

22 Apr – Following the success of Lady Gaga's "One World Together At Home" charity concert, it was reported that China is planning to do a similar benefit show which will revolve around performers in Asian countries.

As reported on HKET, the China Charity Federation is set to launch a Global Anti-Pandemic concert on 15 May, to be held simultaneously in Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Seoul, and Tokyo.

According to mainland media, the CCF has already won the approval of the PRC's Ministry of Civil Affairs and will be reuniting various media platforms and international organisations in the four cities for the six-hour concert.

Among performers who would participate in the said concert reportedly would be Taiwanese singer Jay Chou, Korean rapper G-Dragon, as well as Hong Kong's Cantopop Heavenly King Jacky Cheung - the latter who previously joined the aforementioned global concert.

Donations raised from the said show will be donated to the World Health Organisaton (WHO), as well as global charity organisations that focus on caring for families affected by the pandemic as well as family members of healthcare personnels who died in the line of duty.
