Cherie Gil's last film joins QCinema Film Fest
28 Oct – Cherie Gil's final film prior to her passing is set to be part of the QCinema International Film Festival.
The movie, "Elehiya", which will compete in the Asian New Wave Section of the festival, also marked veteran theatre actor Miguel Faustmann's last movie, following his passing in May this year.
Said director Loy Arcenas, "It will serve as a fitting memorial to two of the Philippines' most brilliant theater and film artists, Cherie and Miguel."
According to ABS-CBN, the film chronicles the downward spiral of a doctor (Cherie) as she tries to piece together the remains of her childless marriage.
Cherie passed away back in July after a long battle against cancer.
