Chen Xiao and Nicky Wu spark divorce rumours again due to charity donations

14 Jan - While both Chen Xiao and Nicky Wu are mum about rumours of their divorce from their respective partners, it was their donations to a disaster relief that had people speculating once again about their current status.

It was reported that many celebrities recently made an effort to donate to a variety of fundraisers for the victims of the earthquake that occurred in Shigatse, Tibet last week, including Nicky and Chen, who decided to donate via Han Hong Love Charity Foundation.

However, eagle-eyed netizens were quick to notice that unlike most celebrity couples such as Zhang Ruoyun and Tang Yixin, Guo Xiaodong and Cheng Lisha, as well as Han Geng and Celina Jade, Nicky and Chen signed their donation separately from their respective wives; Cecilia Liu and Michelle Chen.

A gossip blogger noted this, saying, "You can see that happily married couples all sign their names as Mr. and Mrs. XX. But Chen Xiao donated on his own, without bringing Michelle Chen, and Nicky Wu did so (as well)."

While some netizens agreed that it was suspicious for them to not have donated the money on behalf of their spouses as well, others are saying that people are reading too much into it, since Zhu Dan also donated without signing it along with husband Zhou Yiwei.

They also stated that there is a possibility that Michelle and Cecilia might have donated their own money to a different charity, which is why they were not listed in the foundation.
