Charmaine Sheh to begin filming new drama soon
23 Nov – Hong Kong actress Charmaine Sheh recently revealed that she will begin filming a new drama in mainland China soon.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who has been enjoying a newfound fame since playing the villainess Consort Xian in "Story of Yanxi Palace", shared that the upcoming drama will also involve some of the members of the previous team.
"The drama will be set in the beginning of the Republic of China," she added.
As for her role in the drama, Charmaine predicted that she is playing a good character.
"I took the script home yesterday. When my mother saw it, she asked me if I should play the baddie again. This time, my character is someone who seemed fine on the surface, but has gone through a lot in her life," she said.
Charmaine added that everything is still in the works, and that production may only begin sometime after Christmas or the New Year.
