Carlos Chan excited to have two movies released on CNY
7 Dec– Carlos Chan recently admitted that his dream of having a Lunar New Year film is coming true as not only one - but two of his movies will be released during the festive season.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who appeared at the opening ceremony of the 4th International Film Festival & Awards Macao (IFFAM) recently, shared that both his comedy movies, "You Are the One" and the action-packed Dante Lam's "The Rescue" will be released in time for the Year of the Rat.
"I always think of Lunar New Year films as big productions starring the most popular actors, so for the longest time I had wanted to be a part of it. This year I will be able to celebrate it with two movies!" he enthused.
Carlos also admitted that he didn't expect "You Are the One" would be released as a Lunar New Year movie when he first decided to do the project.
"My initial intention was just to make a movie that would entertain Hong Kong viewers. I hope that the movie will be screened throughout the Lunar New Year to Valentine's Day, so that we could celebrate the two important events," he said.
