Carina Lau says Tony Leung wants to do stage plays
25 Jul – Carina Lau has revealed that after so many TV dramas and movies, husband Tony Leung Chiu Wai is interested to do a stage play for a change.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who made an appearance at the production of the play "One Last Gift" recently, told the media that her husband has actually received a lot of offers to appear on stage.
"I have been helping him with the scripts, and he would always be tempted every time he watched me do it. But he is still indecisive about it. He is a better actor than I am, so I don't understand what he is so worried about," she said.
However, Carina, who also serves as Tony's manager for the time being, stated that the actor would not be able to make his debut on stage anytime soon, as his schedule is already full for the next two years.
"He will be heading to Canada soon for a Netflix series. He should have left much earlier, but had to postpone due to the pandemic," she said, without saying much about what kind of Netflix series the actor is doing.
"I will accompany him once the shoot begins to take a look. Once he is settled, I will leave. I don't want to distract him from his focus," she added.
