Brie Larson goes from superhero to spy

Brie Larson can currently be seen starring as the titular superhero in "Captain Marvel".

9 Mar - Now that the Marvel movie she stars in is showing in cinemas, Brie Larson is looking for her next project to tackle.

The latest addition to her slew of upcoming jobs is a straight-to-series project at Apple, which she not only will executive produce but also star in, Variety reported.

Yet to be titled, the series will see Larson starring as a CIA undercover operative and follows her journey in the agency.

It is to be based on the real life experiences of former covert CIA operative Amaryllis Fox, whose memoir "Life Undercover: Coming of Age in the CIA" is set to be published in October this year.

While Larson started her acting career on TV, debuting in "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" in 1998, she has gone on to become a more prominent actress on the big screen, winning various awards from the Oscars to the BAFTA for her roles. The Apple series marks her return to the small screen, since she last played a TV role in "Community" in 2014.

Larson, who can currently be seen starring as the titular superhero in "Captain Marvel", will be reprising the role again for "Avengers: Endgame".

Aside from that, she will also star in biographical drama film "Just Mercy" opposite Michael B. Jordan, Netflix movie "Lady Business", and Amazon Studios' eponymous biopic of Victoria Woodhull, which she will also produce.
