BLACKPINK Lisa's fans clash on singer's Crazy Horse collaboration
13 Sep – BLACKPINK's Lisa has her fan base splitting into two factions, after she announced that she will be performing at the French burlesque club, Crazy Horse.
Earlier, the singer announced that she will be collaborating with Crazy Horse Paris, and will be performing five exclusive shows from 28 to 30 September.
This angers fans, especially from China, who deemed the establishment as a strip club, and stated that the Thai singer seemed to have forgotten her roots in her attempt to please the western audience. Some even went on her social media account, telling her to cancel the collaboration since she is already at the top of her game and does not need such publicity.
It is noted that some of Lisa's Chinese fansites have closed since the announcement.
Meanwhile, others supported Lisa, stressing that Crazy Horse is a place of art and not a sleazy establishment and that even Beyonce had performed there.
It is noted that Beyonce did not actually perform on the Paris stage, but recreated Crazy Horse burlesque show for her "Partition" music video. The place, however, has worked with internationally acclaimed celebrities, including Christian Louboutin and Dita Von Teese.
