Barbie Hsu explains her recent fainting episode

7 Mar - Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu has clarified a fainting episode that occurred at home recently, which nearly gave her husband Wang Xiaofei a heart attack himself.

According to Epoch Times, the actress, who was previously reported to have fainted due to her heart problem, shared with the media that she wasn't feeling well on the day it happened.

"I was on a diet, and was taking care of two children at the same time. In short, the body lacked energy," she said, adding that it led to mitral valve prolapse.

"I have already made a visit to the doctor, and have taken my medicine. I am okay now, thank you for your concern," she added.

Barbie stated that when it happened, her husband went into a panic mode and started shaking her.

"He shouted, 'Honey! What's wrong? Talk to me! I wanted to answer him, but I couldn't speak. Finally I gathered myself together and said four words, "I feel like vomiting!"," she shared.

Barbie added that she was lucky that her husband was at home when it happened, or it would have been a hassle for her.

The actress also shared that when she woke up in hospital, she was surprised to see her husband kneeling in front of the bed, with his hands holding hers, and tears in his eyes.

As for her work plans, Barbie said that she originally wanted to make her comeback and has been reviewing several scripts. However, with her fragile condition, she would not dare doing it for the time being.

"I will just focus on my current endorsement for now," she added.
