Baileys launch new 'lighter' versionBaileys

Baileys is back with a new product launch and this time the brand has launched its new Deliciously Light, lower calorie version of its original recipe.

We've seen some very strong flavours from Baileys in the past like tiramisu, apple pie, and even a vegan version - so it was only a matter of time until the brand brought out this lighter version.

If you're a fan of the original Baileys recipe, then you'll be happy to hear that the new product has 94 calories per 50ml serve, and boasts 40% less calories than a 50ml serving of Baileys Original, without compromising on taste and texture.

This delicious new drink blends Irish cream with traditional Irish whiskey, alongside rich cocoa and vanilla flavours to create a lighter version of the Baileys Original Irish Cream you know and love, but with less calories. It's the new way to treat yourself this spring.

Add that signature taste of Baileys to your next creamy cocktail, or why not try pouring 50ml over your favourite pudding or stirred up into your signature bakes like this epic Nutella and Baileys cheesecake brownie recipe.

Our Deputy Digital Editor, Susanne Norris went to the launch party and had a chance to try the new lighter version and couldn't tell the difference between the original and the deliciously light Baileys.

She says, "Just like original Baileys, this version has notes of milk chocolate and vanilla. It has a smooth and velvety finish, making the tasting experience luxurious and similar to drinking a rich hot chocolate."

Available from Tesco stores now for £16.50 for a 70cl bottle (or currently on offer for £12 if you have a Clubcard).
