Apple celebrates World Emoji Day with 13 new stickers, memojis

Apple is celebrating World Emoji Day today (17 July) with a bunch of new emojis and memojis you could use in your communication with friends and loved ones.

What stood out for us are face coverings, a greater diversity in emojis, and there is even something for bubble tea lovers out there.

The newest emoji designs including bubble tea, pinched fingers, boomerang, transgender symbol, dodo, beaver, piñata, nesting dolls, coin, anatomical heart, lungs, ninja, and tamale.

There are also more fun ways to create your look with memoji with new customisation updates.

Apple’s team has revamped the memoji’s facial and muscle structure to make the stickers even more expressive, giving us more ways to send a range of emotions and express ourselves in Messages.

On top of that, there are 11 new hairstyles, including man bun, top knot, simple side part, waves, and enhancements to fades.

Users can also update new face coverings by matching the colour to their look, with 19 new headwear styles, including a durag, tichel, cyclist helmet, nurse cap, or swim cap.

Three brand-new Memoji stickers also let you send fist bump, blush, or even a hug to your friends.

To get these new emojis, you may want to update your iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch with the latest iOS 14.
