Anne Heung hasn't found the right time for TVB comeback
2 Sep - Former TVB actress Anne Heung is not saying no to making a comeback with her former station, but admitted that both parties never found the right time for a collaboration, as reported on Tencent.
Known as one of the most beautiful stars of TVB during her time, Anne made her acting debut in 1999 through "Detective Investigation Files IV" after winning Miss Hong Kong 1998. She went on to make 20 more dramas with the company until 2007, when she quietly parted ways with the company after finding out that TVB no longer valued her as a lead actress.
In 2014, the actress expressed her interest for a comeback, saying that she has no qualms doing so provided that TVB has the right role for her. However, no cooperation between the two parties has been announced since then.
When asked about it recently, Anne admitted that TVB had actually made an offer to her twice in the last three years. To show how sincere they were about working with her, Anne said that TVB even sent her the script and asked the producer to talk to her about a comeback.
However, the actress decided to turn both offers down at the time since she was involved in a stage play.
"I also have another filming project in mainland at the end of the year, so hopefully we'll get the opportunity again next time," she added.
When asked if she would mind playing antagonistic roles instead of her usual good girl roles this time around, Anne said that she has no qualms doing so, as she believes such characters have more layers and are much more challenging.
"Moreover, people are very sensible now. They would know how to differentiate between actors and the roles they play," she said.
