Anime singer Maon Kurosaki passed away at 35

 

2 Mar – Maon Kurosaki, most known for her anime songs, has recently passed away.

The news was shared via her official Twitter account by ART ONE Entertainment, with the statement saying that she passed away on 16 February due to worsening chronic illness, and that the funeral was held in a low-key manner by family members.

"We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the fans who supported Maon Kurosaki and the people involved," the statement added.

The agency also stated that the tragic passing occurred as they were in the midst of discussing her future, including her schedule after the summer and the release of new songs.

Meanwhile, sources stated that Maon had undergone surgery for epidural hematoma, but succumbed to her condition not long after.

Throughout her life, Maon had recorded various songs for shows including "Hellsing Ultimate", "A Certain Magical Index II", "Tokyo Ravens", and "Reincarnated as a Sword".

She was 35.
