Angie Chai says new "Meteor Garden" will be complete
13 Nov – Taiwanese producer Angie Chai recently revealed that the new "Meteor Garden" will be a complete version of the original Japanese shojo comics, "Hana Yori Dango".
As reported on Mingpao, the producer, who helmed the original 2001 hit drama, shared that the reason she decided to return to the premise is because the Barbie Hsu-starrer ended its run even before the original creator Yoko Kamio completed the whole story.
"Since then, I promised myself that once ["Hana Yori Dango"] is completed, I will remake it and bring it back on the small screen," she said.
Angie added that such a classic should not be sealed by time, but to be continuously retold and adapted based on the times.
It was also revealed that the new F4 – Dylan Wang, Darren Chen, Connor Leung, and Caesar Wu, have been scheduled to go on a world tour in the second half of next year.
