Amir Jahari warns fans of scammer using his name to dupe others

24 May - Amir Jahari recently reminded fans not to fall victim to phone scams, as the scammers have now used his name to deceive people out of money.

Sharing several screenshots of a WhatsApp conversation between his wife and a person pretending to be him, the singer posted, "Scammer alert! Please share. Do not let anybody else duped by this guy."

Amir said that he was alerted by the man pretending to be him after the perpetrator texted his own wife, Kartini, asking her for money to be transferred to Amir's "relative" as he is supposedly in hospital.

"Disclaimer, I only have one private number for family and acquaintances. Aside from that, these are not my number," Amir added.

Fans and followers couldn't help but mock the scammer for texting Amir's own wife in his attempt to deceive.

One joked, "You're scamming using Amir Jahari's name but you only asked for RM150? Come on, he won AJL!"

Another stated, "He should have checked the relationship status of this 'Kartini'. Who is this scammer?"

Amir also revealed the phone number and account number of the scammer
