15 muslim-friendly steamboat restaurants in the Klang Valley for a wholesome family night out

There’s nothing more comforting than a bowl of hot soup or 2, or 3. Or 10. And no one’s stopping you when you’re at an all-you-can-eat steamboat buffet.

These restaurants are the one place on earth where you can stuff yourself with a worrying amount of meat without judgement, purely because everyone around you is doing the same. It’s always a challenge with yourself too— how many plates of sliced lamb can you eat before the anticipated food coma ensues?

Steamboat meals are both communal and individual. You get to share a hot broth to cook your ingredients in with your friends and family, but at the same time, everyone has their own methods of cooking. Your brother might just plonk the meat in, but you learned this cool trick from TikTok where you wrap the beef slice around your chopstick and swirl it around in the boiling soup for a few seconds.

Either way, you still get to enjoy some delicious food with your loved ones.

With that, I present to you 15 muslim-friendly steamboat restaurants in the Klang Valley for a wholesome family night out because trust me, there’s nothing like fighting over the last piece of beef to strengthen the bond between family members. While many of these restaurants may not be halal-certified, they accommodate to Muslim patrons as they are either owned by Muslims or use halal ingredients in their offerings.
