Zooey Deschanel's bangs are here to stay: 'I look better with them I think'
Zooey Deschanel will never lose her signature bangs.
The 'New Girl' star has no plans to cut off her fringe anytime soon and will have bangs when she gets married to fiancé Jonathan Scott.
Speaking to PEOPLE, she said: "I look better with them.
"I've definitely had periods in my life where I have grown them out. But I just look better with them I think.
"So, yeah, I'll keep them. I've had them since I was like two years old."
Jonathan recalled the "scandal" when the 'Elf' actress cut them off and posted a selfie online.
He shared: "When we first started dating, I remember you had taken a picture with no bangs and then there was a scandal online.
"People were like, who is this? Is it Zoeey? I'm like, 'Oh, I didn't realise it.'"
Zooey quipped: "My CIA cover is no bangs."
And quizzed on whether her bangs will make an appearance at her wedding, she responded: "Always bangs. Always."
Notably, the 'Almost Famous' actress went unnoticed by many when she attended the 2013 Met Gala without her bangs.
Another time she ditched her fringe was in 2021, when she uploaded a picture of her new look, and joked: "Proof I have a forehead."
