Zhao Wei's husband denies ties to corrupt official

20 Jan - Zhao Wei's husband, businessman Huang Youlong couldn't take the rumours that have been going around about him that he decided to clarify it himself once and for all.

As reported on Sina News, previously, Netizens accused Huang of obtaining his wealth from corrupted Shenzhen mayor, Xu Zhongheng - of whom they said Huang has been working as a chauffeur for in the past.

Xu, who was the mayor from June 2005 to June 2009, was sentenced to death with two-year reprieve back in 2011 after he was found guilty of taking RMB 33.18 million in bribes.

Many claimed that his involvement with Xu might have helped him with his business and his eventual rise as a billionaire.

While Huang hasn't responded to the allegations before, he recently decided to shut everybody up once and for all with a Weibo post.

He wrote, "I have never worked as a chauffeur for anybody. Please do your research. To people who are saying all these nonsense, just shut up! We are living in a fair society!"

On the other hand, Zhao has made no response regarding the issue.
