Zhao Lusi's management company denies conflict with the actress but fans are unconvinced
3 Jan - Yinhekuyu Media, Zhao Lusi's management company, has responded to her recent allegations, claiming there are "no disagreements on work plans" between them. This follows Zhao's Weibo post where she revealed her depression stemmed from years of bullying by the company.
On 1 January, the company issued a statement, saying that it has always been firm with Zhao in dealing with the difficulties she faces and actively resolving the problems that arise.
It also added that it "fully accepts rational feedback and suggestions from all parties, and deeply reflects on and sincerely apologises for the shortcomings of its own work."
Stressing that it will not tolerate those who fabricate stories and spread malicious slanders, it added, "We sincerely apologise again for occupying public resources, and on behalf of Lusi, we also thank everyone for their concern. Finally, we sincerely hope that everyone can give Lusi some time and space to recuperate and wait for her return. Thank you again for your understanding and support, and wish you all a happy new year."
However, the statement did not make Zhao's fans happy, with many urging the company to terminate the actress' contract and "return Zhao to her fans".
One netizen wrote, "Their apology letter is so perfectly written. Such shamelessness will surely produce a "good work"."
