Michelin-Starred Cote Korean Steakhouse debuts in Como Orchard

Award-winning Cote Korean Steakhouse, America’s first Korean Steakhouse, opens in Singapore on 27 January. A partnership with Como Group, this is Cote’s first international outpost, occupying the third floor of Como Metropolitan Singapore.

Cote has been awarded a Michelin star each year since opening — the only star awarded to a Korean Steakhouse anywhere in the world.

Guests may choose to start their evening in the Millim Bar, situated right at the entrance among dramatic foliage, custom lighting that dances to the beat of music, and a mix of standing or seated areas. Turning left or right will bring you to the dining areas, a Main Dining Hall and a more private seating area with gold accents.

For private occasions in an intimate space, The Private Dining Room features two grills on table and a one-way mirror. There are also more private spaces to watch for as the months progress.

If you're making it an occasion, go for either of two lavish tasting experiences: The Butcher’s Feast, and a 10-course Steak Omakase featuring Japanese A5 Wagyu (Miyazaki, Japan) and Petrossian Tsar Imperial Daurenki Caviar. The menu also spotlights Cote’s Beef & Leaf philosophy of serving light and bright vegetables preserved on-site via its “Vegetable Fermentation Lab”. This is their alternative to traditionally heavier steakhouse sides.

After that, head back to Millim Bar as the post-meal area transforms into a lively space as the night unfolds. DJ and music nights are in the pipeline.

A native of Normandy and the grandson of a dairy farmer, Maxime Frédéric is discerning about all raw materials, drawing upon the wisdom of “Les secrets de nos vergers” (the secrets of the orchards). On his Normandy farm, he cultivates various breeds of chickens that yield eggs of distinct colours, and grows a special type of hazelnut that is smaller in size and produces a more intense flavour.

For this special pop-up, Frédéric will lend his hand in creating exquisite Louis Vuitton iconic codes, like the familiar Vivienne on Malle (trunk), which is inspired by the Vivienne music box. When set in motion with a simple twist of a chocolate key, Vivienne pirouettes atop a trunk; showcasing the technical prowess and creativity of Maxime Frédéric who has perfected the art of constructing intricate chocolate gear mechanisms.

For lovers who are looking for a sweet tooth for Valentine’s Day, Frédéric has also created the Filled Heart Saint Valentine comprising five heart-shaped chocolates in three delicate flavours: pistachio, almond and hazelnut, available in limited quantities.

The new Salomon Brand Store at Raffles City Singapore will have a full range of Salomon mountain sports and lifestyle products including outdoor, trail, running and the first-ever launch in Singapore of Salomon’s coveted Sportstyle Collection.

"The global headquarters is in Annecy. So the interesting thing about where we're located is that we're at the intersection of elite ski culture and extreme mountain culture running. We're about a three-hour ride from Paris, and you have the backdrop to test all of our hardcore performance product development and sport style development. So it gives us you know, a very good location to identify trends, cultures that are emerging in sport. And I like to use the phrase that over time, Salomon is the brand that has shaped the future," Scott Mellin, Salomon Global Chief Brand Officer tells Reta Lee, Yahoo Life Singapore in a short interview. Joining the brand 13 months in, Mellin shared that Salomon is a brand that he used as a kid as he grew up as a ski racer.

"When I had the opportunity to join I was like, yes! because it's a brand that I honoured my whole career. So you want a professional ski racer. I grew up ski racing and bike racing. Over time, I became a mountaineer. I like to spend time in the mountains whether it's for climbing or skiing. My whole life has always been in the mountains," Mellin added.

As a mainland Chinese actress, Zhou Yutong has impressed audiences with her performance in Young Blood and gained even more popularity for her roles in Nothing But You and Remembrance of Things Past.

Since its debut in 1999, B.zero1 has been a symbol of Bulgari’s heritage and innovation. The new campaign introduces fresh interpretations of the statement jewel, originally conceived as a ring that daringly fused the Tubogas with Roman inscription.

Expect thinner interpretations of timeless B.zero1 classics, which are showcased in the updated B.zero1 ring, enhancing its appeal with a refined diamond pavé set along the edges of the 18k ring. Additionally, new two-band rings feature an eye-catching shape covered with multi-sized pave diamonds.

The new B.zero1 earrings transform the iconic ring design into a full-diamond pavé openwork motif for the ultimate sparkle, while a new B.zero1 band ring is adorned with single diamonds for versatility and elegance.
