Zanilia Zhao loses Weibo followers for "stop complaining" response
9 Dec - Zanilia Zhao found herself losing a small number of Weibo followers after she decided to argue with them about her style at the 2024 Singapore International Film Festival.
The actress recently walked the red carpet at the event in a short black number that had a wrap around with gold fringe that she paired up with green dangling earrings, her hair tied slicked back. And while she seemed to be loving the whole look, some fans were unhappy with the styling, saying that she did not look good.
Zanilia, who seemed to be annoyed by the criticisms, responded, "I think I look very nice today. No more nonsense. Good night."
Fans who saw the post speculated that it was not Zanilia who gave the curt response, but a member of her team, seeing that her IP address showed that she was in Beijing.
To that, she replied, "I posted it myself. The IP address comes from me. Stop complaining. Good night. I can dream about anything."
However, some fans felt that Zanilia's response was a bit too much, that the use of the words "stop complaining" was somewhat hurtful. Consequently, some decided to unfollow her on Weibo.
