Zahnita Wilson's husband remanded after she exposes years of alleged spousal abuse
3 Dec - Zahnita Wilson's husband has been remanded following the model-actress' recent revelation of domestic violence.
On 3 December, Magistrate Tengku Eliana Tuan Kamaruzaman of the Kuantan court issued the remand order against Abdul Zackery Ghouse Abdul Gafor to assist in the investigations.
It was back on 2 December that Zahnita posted a photo showing her blackened eye, and wrote, "I didn't want to do this... but I am forced too. This is why i left my old house... and why iIsometimes wear sunglasses..."
Many took to the comments to express their support for the "Gila Gila Pengantin Remaja" actress, including Che Puan Sarimah Ibrahim, Tiz Zaqyah and Daphne Iking, the latter who posted, "May you continue to find strength to live a safer, better, healthier life."
Zahnita stated in an interview that it was not the first time that she was assaulted by her husband throughout their 20 years of marriage.
"I have even reported this to the police, but no action was taken," she said.
The model said that she is waiting for her lawyer from Kuala Lumpur to take the next step.
