Shila Amzah on abusive partner: I wasn't talking about my husband!
10 Dec - Shila Amzah recently found herself having to clarify that she was not talking about her current husband Ubai Mz when she spoke about being with an abusive partner.
On 8 December, the singer posted her clarification on Instagram Story, saying that her previous post was her two cents on the tragedy that had befallen model-actress Zahnita, whose husband was remanded by the police following allegations of domestic abuse.
"Only those who have experienced it will know how painful it is. No, I am not married to one. So now, I want to rest my case," she stated.
Shila also asks everybody to lend their prayers to those who are still suffering in an abusive marriage, so that they will be given mental and physical strength to leave their abuser.
"To friends and family, if your friend or family member suddenly goes missing, goes no contact, this is one of the signs. Please don't leave them alone," she added.
Prior to her marriage to Ubai, Shila was married to Haris Idraki Elias. The marriage ended in 2022 after four years together.
