Yuen Biao preps up for "Seven Little Fortunes" movie
8 Aug – Martial arts actor Yuen Biao recently revealed that he is currently preparing for an upcoming movie about his troupe, the Seven Little Fortunes.
As reported on Oriental Daily, Yuen, who was in Tokyo to attend a brand event, shared that he and his colleagues have thought about making a movie about their troupe for a while now in celebration of Seven Little Fortunes' 60th anniversary next year.
"We thought about making this movie to tell the world how we learned Kung Fu when we were little and how we overcame our hardship. We want to tell the youngsters not to give up, and to have confidence and determination," he said.
However, Yuen has yet to share more details about the project.
Also known as The Lucky Seven, the Seven Little Fortunes were a travelling performance troupe consisting of the China Drama Academy's students as young as seven years old, who sometimes would go work for movie studios as extras.
Among the more popular members of the Seven Little Fortunes include martial arts choreographer Corey Yuen, actors Yuen Mo, Yuen Tai, Yuen Tak, and Yuen Wah, as well as international star Sammo Hung.
The most celebrated member of the bunch is the action superstar Jackie Chan.
