Yu Zheng denies Bai Lu will star in novel adaptation

9 Aug - Producer Yu Zheng has denied rumours saying that Bai Lu is set to star in the adaptation of Gu Man's "Sunshine in Me" (translated title).

As reported on Sohu, the producer recently dismissed the notion that the actress will be a part of the series that will begin filming in November, writing, "It's another project that I haven't heard of. Why push fake news to me? I really can't stand it."

It is noted that the rumour sparked after Yu himself revealed that Bai Lu has been reviewing 80 different scripts and will be joining a new production at the said date.

The upcoming project, based on Gu Man's novel of the same name, is an urban romance drama about a woman named Nie Xiguang who finds friendship and (subsequently) love in her boss Lin Yusen after they both share their own pain and losses.

To be written by the author herself, the drama reportedly will star Zhang Linghe as Lin Yusen.
