Yang Mi plans to regain daughter's custody?

10 Aug – Rumour has it that Yang Mi might be trying to regain custody of daughter, Noemie.

Mainland news outlets are saying that the actress, whose daughter is living with her former father-in-law and veteran actor Lau Dan in Hong Kong, has reportedly spent millions of Hong Kong dollars in an effort to bring back Noemie to China to raise her personally.

Some speculated that it has something to do with Hawick Lau's new relationship with mainland actress Li Xiaofeng.

It was also reported that Yang Mi made a secret visit to Hong Kong in March, and has made several high-profile trips to Hong Kong in recent months, all in preparation for the custody dispute. Sources claimed that Yang Mi had the intention of taking her daughter back to the mainland as early as four years ago, but was forced to shelve the plan due to the pandemic.

At the same time, rumours are also rife that Hawick is planning to bring Noemie to Canada, though a person close to the family denied this, saying that Noemie will continue to live in Hong Kong in the future.

The former coupled tied the knot in 2014 before ending their marriage in 2018.
