Yammie Lam's fan club warns of fundraising scams

13 Nov – Fans of late actress Yammie Lam recently warned the public of a new scam trying to profit from the actress' death.

As reported on EJ Insight, Yammie's fan club recently posted an announcement on its official Weibo account saying that there are several online fundraising campaigns for Yammie's funeral that have been started following the news of her death that was not initiated by the club.

"The fan club has not issued any call for donation. Beware of swindlers," the club added.

It is noted that the Hong Kong Performance Art Guild (HKPAG) recently announced that they will be helping out with the funeral after communicating with Yammie's family.

The news of Yammie's death came out last week, after she was found lifeless in the bathroom of her home in Stanley. No sign of foul play was found.

She was 55.
