The Wynners tells their story through new movie

7 Mar - The journey and experience of Alan Tam and the rest of The Wynners are soon to be revealed through the upcoming movie, "Brothers" (translated title).

According to MTime, the movie recently held its press conference and outdoor filming at the Hung Hom Coliseum Stadium to recreate the scene where the band finally set foot in the prestigious venue after years of struggle.

Attending the movie set recently were The Wynners themselves - Alan Tam, Kenny Bee, Bennett Pang, Danny Yip, and Anthony Chan, and the young stars playing them in the movie - GTM's Eugene (Alan), Ng Kok Him, Carlos Chan, Lam Yiu Sing, and Jonathan Wong.

Other stars include Chin Siu Ho and Kara Hui.

According to director Anthony Chan, a member of the band himself, the movie took three years to plan before production even began. He expressed hope to instill in aspiring singers the determination to make music through their own talent, ambition, and creativity, rather than follow trends.

The movie will also follow the lives of the five musicians from the creation of the group in the 1970s to their first ever Hong Kong Coliseum show in the 1980s.

In the past two months, the production has been filming in the film studio in Foshan to recreate the 1970s Hong Kong, including West Central, Causeway Bay, and Kowloon City. They will soon be filming in Singapore and Taiwan.
