Wu Kang-ren nominated Best Actor at Asian Film Awards

15 Jan – Following his victory at the Golden Horse Awards, Wu Kang-ren is set to compete for Best Actor yet again, this time at the 2024 Asian Film Awards.

The actor is nominated for his performance in the Angelica Lee-produced film, "Abang Adik", the same film that enabled him to win his first Golden Horse Best Actor accolade last year.

However, Wu will be facing tough competition from the likes of Korean star Hwang Jung-min ("12.12: The Day"), Shen Teng ("Full River Red") and Yakusho Koji ("Perfect Days").

The Taiwanese actor will also have to compete with Tony Leung Chiu Wai, who is nominated for his performance in "The Goldfinger". Tony is no stranger to winning at the said awards, having won AFA's Best Actor twice through "Lust, Caution" in 2007 and "Where the Wind Blows" last year.
