Winki Lai excited about her pregnancy
13 Jul - Winki Lai recently made her first appearance since announcing her pregnancy, and was all smiles as she talks about her unborn baby and future plans with boyfriend, Leung Zi Fung.
According to Mingpao, the actress, who appeared at the Wakefest Hong Kong 2017, shared, "I am almost five months pregnant. At first, I didn't know I was pregnant. But then I realised that my appetite changed and I can't stand the smell of grass and detergent. When I found out that I was having a baby, I quickly stopped eating raw food."
Winki said that she experienced nausea like most mothers in the first three months of her pregnancy, although it strangely came at 11 pm every night.
The actress also admitted that her weight has increased up to ten pounds since her pregnancy and that her belly often feels itchy. She added that the baby will be born in December, and that she has opted for natural birth.
Winki also said that her new drama will wrap up some time this month, and that she is thankful that the cast and crew have been very accommodating towards her.
Said Winki, she has also sacrificed her endorsement deal for the sake of her baby.
"The product may contain substances that are not suitable for pregnant women. So I decided not to do the shoot and lost a six-figure remuneration," she said.
As to whether she and her boyfriend will be tying the knot anytime soon, Winki said that after being together for five years, she already felt like they are married.
"He treats me like a queen," she added.
Nonetheless, the actress admitted that the two of them will discuss marriage matters with their family after the baby's birth, adding that they will probably only have a low-key wedding.
