Wu Chun's love of acting still remains, but he loves his kids even more — to the point where he’s making concessions in his career to spend more time with them.

On the latest episode of Mediacorp’s Just Swipe Lah, released on 10 Oct, the Bruneian singer-actor spoke about his future plans, saying, “Everytime I watch good movies, I’ll feel like going back to acting.

“But I want to spend more time with my children during this period. If I go for filming, it would be three to four months at a time. I can’t stand it. I think my children are growing up too fast.”

Wu Chun, 44, is married to Lin Liying and they have a daughter (NeiNei) and a son (Max). The couple also celebrated their 27th anniversary on 2 Feb this year.

The former Fahrenheit member also told host Jernelle Oh that the time with his kids now is very precious.

He added, “Now I’ll probably spend more time on variety shows because the filming duration for variety shows are not long and you can do those that you like.”

That said, Wu Chun has also turned down invites to shows before, citing family as a reason.

In June 2022, he told Lianhe Zaobao that he declined to join the second season of the popular Chinese singing reality show Call Me By Fire, despite the producer telling him that they can make him famous again.

Incidentally, he was also invited for the first season and rejected it for the same reason.

Wu Chun explained that filming would take place in Changsha and it was going to be “quite a while”, and he didn’t “want to be away from my family for too long.”

He said then, “My family is my priority now, we don't have a helper with us now, so my wife and I have to do everything ourselves, including taking care of the kids and doing housework.”
