Why is she still single? Jiang Xin has this to say

25 Feb - Jiang Xin is not one to mince words when it comes to questions about her single status, as she recently responded to a nosy netizen who asked her just that.

The 41-year-old actress, most known for her performance as Consort Hua in the hit 2011 series, "The Legend of Zhen Huan", recently posted a video, where she spoke about losing 15kg from her original weight.

Many fans left messages to interact with the actress, including one netizen who curiously asked, "Why aren't you getting married yet?"

To that, she simply responded, "Why make things harder for yourself?" and attached a crying laughing emoji.

Many other netizens also took to the comments to respond, with one saying, "If you have money, free time, acting skills, a career, and a role to play in life, marriage is really not an option. Respect those who want to get married, but don't plan the lives of unmarried people."

Meanwhile, another joked, "Why would Consort Hua get married again after being tricked by the Emperor Yongzheng?"

In a past interview, Jiang Xin was asked whether her parents had ever urged her to get married, to which she said that she had communicated with her parents about the topic.

"I believe there is only a suitable relationship to get married, not suitable age. I have never had any expectations or plans. Everything just happens naturally," she said.
