With its first outpost in Singapore, the Taiwanese brand had experimented with a pop-up which was held at Takashimaya earlier this month, where over 1,500 cups were sold daily.
Founded in Taiwan on January 2018, the name Xing Fu Tang was coined by Edison Chen (not the actor) which can be directly translated to ‘realm of happiness’. The Brown Sugar Boba Milk drink was inspired by Chen’s grandmother who often used brown sugar as a key ingredient. What makes the bubble tea special, is the way the tapioca pears are stir fried in natural raw brown sugar to give it that chewy bite.
Some of the items on the menu include Xing Fu Tang’s Mango Smoothie & Rabbit Panna Cotta ($6.90), which is a tasty concoction of panna cotta and mango smoothie chock-full of chewy pink pearls and the Matcha Boba Milk ($5.90). Other items you could try are the Soda and Handmade Jelly ($5.30) and Grapefruit Green Tea ($5.90).
Xing Fu Tang is open from 11am to 10pm daily at 2 Tampines Central 5, #01-22, Century Square Singapore 529509.
