20 Jul – Wang Baoqiang proves that he is a force to be reckoned with as his movie continues to soar at the Chinese box office.

"Never Say Never", the movie written and directed by Wang himself, has now made more than USD 222 million at the box office after Day 13 of its release.

Wang took to social media to express his delight over the great reception, writing, "Thank you everyone. This encouragement is the driving force for me to move forward. After six years of precipitation, I held back a lot of energy and put it in #NeverSayNever, just to tell everyone, don't give up easily, relying on tenacity, you can finally break through the darkness and change your fate!"

Wang is no stranger to box office hits, with his 2022 movie, "Detective Chinatown 3" made it to number seven of the highest-grossing Chinese movies of all time list.

For the time being, "Never Say Never" is at number 43 on the same list. It tells the story of a man who devotes all his efforts to cultivating underprivileged children in the local area, giving them a glimmer of hope for the future.
