Vivian Lai returns to work after hospitalisation
27 Feb – After two trips to the hospital in just two months, Vivian Lai assured that she is getting better and better and will do her best to prepare for her upcoming concert.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who came to Michael Lai's concert as a guest performer recent, shared with the media that she is now 80 percent recovered from the flu, although her voice is still a bit hoarse.
"I was in the hospital for a week, but I am doing much better now," she added.
When asked if she lost a lot of weight from her health problem, Vivian admitted that she did lose ten pounds, and hopes to lose more before the April concert. She also didn't dare return home during her hospitalisation for fear of infecting her family.
"I heard that Andy Hui also got the flu. I hope everybody will stay healthy in the New Year," she added.
In related news, Vivian also celebrated her 45th birthday on 18 February, and told the media that her birthday wish is to have "a good health and a happy life".
Prior to being warded due to the flu early this month, Vivian was hospitalised back in December to undergo surgery to remove a tumour found in her abdomen.
