‘The View’ Adds Sara Haines as New Co-Host
“Good Morning America” weekend anchor Sara Haines has been added as a new co-host of ABC’s daytime talk show “The View.”
The move comes after comedian Michelle Collins was let go from the show. Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Candace Cameron Bure, Paula Faris and Raven-Symoné all remain for Season 20, which premieres on Sept. 6.
Haines’ addition has been a topic of speculation since June, shortly after Collins was given the boot. The “GMA” veteran has guest-hosted the show multiple times in the past.

“The View” has experienced nearly nonstop host changes in recent seasons.
Like Collins, Jenny McCarthy lasted for a single season. Rosie Perez and Nicole Wallace left last year after briefly joining the panel. Behar — who sat out two seasons earlier this decade — is the sole remaining co-host from the original incarnation of “The View” in 1997.
Series creator Barbara Walters left the show in 2014.
