"Usseewa" singer Ado wants to break into the US market
27 Oct – Japanese singer Ado recently announced that she is signing a contract with Universal Music Group's subsidiary, Geffen Records.
The singer, who celebrated her 20th birthday on 24 October, shared the good news on her official social media account, saying, "I am so honoured and excited to be a part of the amazing musical legacy of the Geffen Records family."
The partnership also means that Ado will now be able to enter the US market as well as break into other countries.
The singer, who has never shown her face to the public, is most known for her song, "Usseewa", which became a big hit in Japan in 2021, earning the moniker "2021 Youth Anthem".
She also performed the theme song for "One Piece Film: Red", and also voiced the character Uta in the movie.
