TVB presenter Bob Lam reveals wife suffers from rare cancer
29 Aug – Television presenter Bob Lam recently confirmed that wife Shirley is currently battling a rare cancer called leiomyosarcoma (LMS).
As reported on Mingpao, Bob, who spoke about the condition earlier, shared that his wife is currently undergoing phase two of chemotherapy.
"The side effect was not as bad as it was during the first phase. She just doesn't have an appetite because there is no taste," he said.
Asked if he is currently taking care of his wife and their two children, Bob said that it was not too much work for him.
"One person taking care of three and doing housework is nothing. The children are 14 and ten. They know how to take care of themselves. The most important thing is that they are happy and healthy," he said.
Despite Shirley's rare condition and the fact that the cancer has spread to her other organs including the liver and pancreas, Bob said that he hasn't given up hope.
"A lot of my friends have been sharing information with me about treatment. I will check them all out. I hope to find the best remedy," he said.
