TVB mourns Kathy Chow's passing

14 Dec – TVB has recently released a statement of condolences following news of Kathy Chow's passing.

On 12 December, the broadcaster posted a message that read, "Former TVB artiste Zhou Haimei passed away due to illness. TVB expresses deep regret and expresses deep condolences to her family. Zhou Haimei worked for TVB for many years and filmed many dramas, including "The Feud of Two Brothers", "The Superlative Affections", "Looking Back in Anger", "The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber", "Plain Love", etc. Later, she performed the drama "Time Before Time", her popularity soared and her acting skills were greatly appreciated."

"After such a person passes away, it is truly worthy to be in the audience's eternal memory!" the company added.

It is noted that Kathy joined TVB in 1985 after running for Miss Hong Kong. She became one of TVB's biggest stars in the 1980s and '90s.

The actress passed away on 12 December at the age of 57.
