Jigger and Pony

The Jigger & Pony Group has recently launched PONY, a new bottled cocktail brand. This innovative drink concept is handcrafted by bartenders from the award-winning Jigger & Pony bar. They have come up with two core lines: The Classic series which features timeless cocktails such as the Negroni and Old Fashioned, and the Signature series, offering creative flavours like the Sakura Martini. Premium spirits such as Roku Gin, Maker’s Mark Bourbon Whisky and Suntory Chita Whisky, are used for these drinks. Thanks to the higher ABV (alcohol by volume), flavour dilution is minimised. Housemade na tural citrus essences are also blended into the cocktails for a bright flavour.

The cocktails taste great on their own. Just chill, open the bottle and serve as suggested. All PONY bottled cocktails are presented in mini (200ml, from $32) and standard (500ml, from $74) bottles. A mini bottle serves two while a standard bottle offers five generous pours. This December, PONY has also launched the Chocolate Boulevardier (mini $34, standard $78). Featuring Suntory Chita Whisky with Cinzano Rosso and Campari, the drink contains chocolate bitters, and a zesty orange essence.

Savyll

Alcohol-free beverages are trending more than ever now. A unique drink that’s great for home entertaining is the artisanal non-alcoholic cocktails by Savyll from the UK. These botanically-driven, plant-based drinks are perfect for those who are allergic to alcohol, or those who want to moderate their alcohol consumption. The concoctions are made from natural flavours and extracts, without any artificial sweeteners. They are also low in calories, which is a bonus for the health conscious.

Savyll’s ready-to-serve format is perfect for those without any bar set-up at home - no mixers or garnishing are required, so it’s ultra convenient. The range includes Savyll’s alcohol-free Gin &Tonic, with delicate gin botanicals and bittersweet tonic notes, and the Mojito, a balanced blend of white rum, mint and lime flavours. Other flavours include the Bellini, Old Cuban, Moscow Mule, Rum & Cola, and the new Whiskey Sour and Paloma Tequila perfumed with bittersweet pink grapefruit notes, zesty tequila essence and lime.

Lyre’s

Non-alcoholic spirits brand Lyre’s has crafted a comprehensive range of alcohol-free spirits and liquors for us to try. Whether it's boozy brunch, laidback happy hour or a special celebration, the Australian-based brand has teamed up with some of Singapore’s favourite drinking spots – Manhattan, Ah Sam Cold DrinkStall and Don Ho – to create inspiring-alcoholic cocktails and offer guests an entirely different drinking experience.

At Manhattan Bar, in line with their new menu’s theme of New York Personified, Vega is inspired by the distinctive punk rock rhythm of The Ramones, showcasing the Lyre’s American Malt mixed with clarified apple juice, chamomile ole Saccharum and lapsang souchong tea. New Element consists of Lyre’s Coffee Originale shaken up with banana cordial, sparkling coconut water and chocolate bitters, and is a tribute to American actor and producer Robert Downey Jr.

Innocent Spritzis a refreshing blend of Lyre’s Italian Spritz, grapefruit, kaffir and soda while the smooth Amarettiis a sweeter option, featuring the Lyre’s Amaretti, almond milk, apple, passionfruit and mint. Those with a penchant for slightly more sour drinks can opt forIsn’tLife Grape, which is a mix of Lyre’s Aperitif Rosso, white grapes, red wine vinegar, egg white and soda.

Highlights here include reimagined classics such as lavender Mojito with Lyre’s White Cane Spirit, lavender syrup, lime and mint leaves and the Grapefruit Spritzer with Lyre’s Italian Spritz, grapefruit, grapefruit soda and olives. The thirst-quenching cocktails pair perfectly with the bar’s locally-inspired bites such as the stay Babe Burger and the signature Hokkien Prawn Mee.
