Travis Kelce Arrives in Custom Amiri Mahogany Suit With Chain Loafers for Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans
For a second consecutive year, Travis Kelce was seen wearing custom AMIRI to the Super Bowl.
Inspired by the Autumn-Winter 2025 Runway collection, which debuted in Paris on January 23rd, 2025, Kelce wore an elongated mahogany double-breasted peak rever jacket, hard-crease flared pants and an open-collar lurex stripe shirt, which he paired alongside a debossed croc leather belt and a leather MA Weekender bag completed with a real bloom rose dipped in 24-karat gold. He rounded out his look with the Sunset Sunglasses from AMIRI’s new Eyewear collection.

On his feet were a coordinating custom pair of the brand’s MA chain loafers, which featured a thick black strap along the mid-foot region. The shoes were constructed with leather and finished with a slight block heel measuring a little over 1 inch in height. Kelce frequently chooses loafers for his high-profile appearances that require a dressier look.
Loafers and oxfords first began gaining popularity at Oxford university circa the early 1800s as a rebellious act against knee-high and ankle-high boots. Often made with leather material (although sometimes they can be made with different fabrics like suede as well), they are regarded for their comfort, versatility and ability to last for decades.
The modern dress shoe is much different than the original shoe established in the 1800s, as the present model offers a more refined look. Many brands including Gucci, Versace and Burberry offer different variations of oxford shoes. While Kelce may prefer a dressier look from time-to-time, his frequent choice of shoes are sneakers.
For the Super Bowl LIX Opening Night, or “Media Day” this past week, Kelce wore a pair of the unreleased Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 “Brick By Brick,” which features an all-red upper intended to represent the work that’s gone into building Sylvester’s career.
Sylvester spoke a bit about the shoe with Footwear News recently, saying, “This is a nod to the triumphs and the challenges, trials and tribulations throughout my career. This has not been easy, me being a Black BMX athlete from Queens, New York. People look at that like, ‘How is this even possible?’ There was a lot of things I had to deal with, whether it was race, going into a sport where there wasn’t a lot of individuals that look like me or come from the place that I come from. Having to navigate that, having to develop a brand and learn how to do that, all of those things that like go into achieving success.”
Kelce wearing Jordan wasn’t a surprise as he sported many different variations of the Air Jordan 11 cleat as his signature throughout the 2024-25 NFL season.
Super Bowl LIX features a rematch between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs. The game will take place at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, and will feature Kendrick Lamar at the halftime performer.
