New in town: SHAMO@JlnSultan — Izakaya-based concept with extensive yakitori menu

For people working around Jalan Sultan area, you have a new spot for all your after-work drinking needs in the form of SHAMO@JlnSultan, which opened on 17 Dec 2022. Apart from offering a multitude of drinks, they also have an extensive yakitori menu with a wide variety of à la carte Japanese dishes.

SHAMO@JlnSultan follows the popular Japanese concept izakaya, and the kanji for izakaya (居酒屋) translates to “stay-drink-shop”. To celebrate its opening, patrons can show this post to enjoy a bottle of Asahi Beer (300ml) at just S$6.

The yakitori menu is divided into 5 parts: Tori (Chicken), Beef, Pork, Seafood and Yasai (Vegetable). The Tori has options such as Chicken with Leek (S$5.20), Chicken Minceball with Softbone (S$5.20), Chicken Buttocks (S$5.20) and Chicken Skin (S$4.80).

From the Pork menu, you can pick dishes like the Pork Collar (S$7.80), Bacon and Cherry Tomato (S$5.20) and Bacon and Asparagus (S$5.80). If you prefer red meat, you can choose the Beef options such as Salt-Grilled Wagyu Beef (S$20.80), Salt-Grilled Beef Tongue (S$14.80) and Beef Golden Mushroom Roll (S$5.80).

For something lighter, the Seafood and Yasai options should interest you with selections such as Grilled Squid with Teriyaki (S$23.80), Grilled Salmon Belly with Mentai (S$6.20), Grilled Shiitake Mushroom (S$3.80) and Grilled Eringi Mushroom (S$3.80).
