Tony Leung to take long break after "Europe Raiders"

27 Aug – Hong Kong actor Tony Leung recently revealed that he plans to take a long break from work after completing the promotional tour of his new movie, "Europe Raiders".

As reported on Epoch Times, the actor who appeared at the publicity event for the new movie in Causeway Bay recently, shared that he will only begin working again and filming new movies in January of 2019.

"I have been filming for 36 years, and living a fast-paced life all throughout without any time left for the people around me. I want to spend more time with my family, including my mother, my wife [Carina Lau], my sister and my niece," he said.

Tony admitted that instead of filming a lot of movies, he now chooses his scripts carefully and only does things that will make him happy.

When asked what he plans to do during his hiatus, the actor enthused that he wants to go "sailing, climbing mountains, cycling, diving, and surfing".

On the other hand, Tony also revealed that he has developed a new bad habit because of the nature of his work.

"Whenever I decide to take on a role, I would channel all my focus into the project. Sometimes you give yourself a lot of pressure, and I seemed to have developed a habit of grinding my teeth when I get too serious. After consulting a dentist, I now have to wear braces when I go to sleep," he said.
