Tomoya Warabino never thought he'd one day be Ultraman

2 Jul - Tomoya Warabino recently admitted that playing the role of Ultraman was a dream come true for him, having been one of the millions of children who watched the beloved Japanese superhero when he was young.

Speaking to the Malaysian media during his appearance to promote the new film, "Ultraman Blazar The Movie", Tomoya stated that he lived in the rural areas where they had no television.

"So, it was very difficult to watch the Ultraman series. But once I got to watch the show, I really wanted to be him. I love how he protects those who are in need. Never in my mind that I would get the opportunity to play Ultraman Blazar," he said.

Speaking about his role as Captain Gento Hiruma, Tomoya stated that the character has to ensure that his team will not be defeated in battles while also obeying his top commands.

"The character is no different from my real life. I am married and I have a son," he said.

Meanwhile, when asked about his experience coming to Malaysia for the first time, the actor said that he came from a county that has similar weather to Malaysia during summer, and thus it felt like home.

"If I plan to migrate, I will pick Malaysia as the destination," he said.
