During the past partial lockdown in Singapore, I have given up on my messy hair by either tying it up in a messy bun or twisting my hair into a side braid.

I have thick Asian hair according to my hair stylist, and I do air-dry it on most days, but in the bathroom, after a quick wash, it can get all tangly and messy again. I’m sure like most of you, wishing on beach waves all-year long would be a dream come true, but not for me.

Like your skin, hair needs plenty of care and nourishment. Whether it’s natural, coloured, thin, thick, or wavy, there are some lifestyle changes you can make to give your mane the care it needs.

Besides adding hair care like oils, conditioners and shampoos, you may also take supplements (after consulting with your doctor) if you find that you’re suffering from hair loss or damaged hair (many contributing factors including diet and stress).

We round up a few hair products that we think may strengthen your hair.
